Quality Assurance & Laboratory Services

At KazNPZ, quality is not an afterthought — it is embedded into every stage of our operations. From crude oil intake to finished product despatch, each material stream is tested, documented, and released only when it meets the applicable product specification. Our quality management culture ensures that every customer — whether a domestic road contractor receiving a bitumen delivery or an international trader receiving a product cargo — receives exactly what was agreed.

Our Laboratory Capabilities

KazNPZ’s onsite analytical laboratory is equipped to perform the following standard tests:

Crude oil characterisation: API gravity, kinematic viscosity, water-and-sediment (BS&W), salt content, pour point
Bitumen testing: Penetration at 25°C, softening point (ring-and-ball), ductility, flash point, solubility
Fuel oil analysis: Viscosity, sulphur content, flash point, water content, density
Distillate fraction testing: Distillation curves, density, colour, cloud point, pour point
LPG composition analysis: Propane/butane ratio, moisture content, H₂S

Standards Compliance

All KazNPZ products are tested against applicable standards, including:

GOST (Russian / Kazakhstani inter-state standards) for petroleum products
STR (State Technical Regulations of the Republic of Kazakhstan)
EN (European Norm) equivalents where export-market specifications are required

Quality Certificates & Documentation

For every product lot despatched from KazNPZ, we provide a full quality passport (Certificate of Analysis) documenting all tested parameters. Third-party inspection services (SGS, Intertek, or equivalent) can be accommodated at buyer’s request for export shipments. Our laboratory records are maintained and available for audit.
